How to enable MFA (two factor authentication)

Updated 12-1-24

As of January 15, 2025, all account admins (including issuers and those with read-only access) will be required to use two-factor or multi-factor authentication. Organizations that use SAML SSO will not have to do MFA. These are simple instructions.

1. Navigate to the menu in the upper right corner and click on Settings.

2. Select Privacy + Security on the left and then check the box for Two-Factor Authentication.

A QR code will appear that you can scan. This initiates the process of authenticating with an app. We recommend using Google Authenticator, but here are additional options.

iPhone: Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, 1Password, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator

Android: Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, 1Password, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator

You'll be asked to enter a code your app provides. Click to confirm.
