Analytics Report Glossary - Definitions of column headers for the analytics export

Curious about what the various columns represent in an analytics export? Here’s a simple glossary, column by column. Note that displayed columns may differ based on features enabled.

  • Badge Name: Name of template
  • Badge Template ID: Unique identifier for that template
  • Issued by: Named issuer (typically your organization)
  • Earner Badge ID: A unique numeric identifier for that individual badge. A combo of the person + the template.
  • Issuer Earner ID: If you use these, it is another way of distinguishing the person. Think of it like an account number. You, as the issuer, determine this value.
  • Group Tag: If you use these when issuing, the tag(s) will show up in this column.
  • Badge URL: Where you might see this online if the earner makes it public.
  • Issued to First Name: First name of the earner
  • Issued to Middle Name: Middle name of the earner (if you used this field)
  • Issued to Last Name: Last name of the earner
  • Country**: Country of origin as identified by the earner if they accepted the badge.
  • State**: Follows country if identified
  • Region**: Continent follows country if identified
  • Sub-region**: Breaks it down further based on country if identified
  • Account status: Could be Confirmed, Unconfirmed or Not created
  • Issued to Email: The email you used for issuing
  • Issued to Email Domain: The domain for that email. Can be helpful seeing trends.
  • Status: This refers to the status of the badge - based on what the earner did with it - and could be accepted, pending, revoked or rejected
  • Expired: If the badge has already expired, there will be Expired in the column. If blank, the badge is not expired.
  • Issue Date: The day the issuer said the earner qualified for the badge
  • Record Created: The date the issuer sent the badge to the earner
  • Date Accepted: The date the earner accepted the badge
  • Expires: If there is an expiration date on the badge, it will display here.
  • Latest Email Type: Could be Notification, 1st Reminder, 2nd Reminder, 3rd Reminder or Badge Replace Notification
  • Latest Email Status: This refers to the state of email as published here.
  • Dropped Email Reason: If an email is dropped and the reason is obvious, it will be reported here. You might see something like “Bounced Address”
  • Total Badge Page Views: This tells how many times the URL in column F was viewed.
  • Total Badge Embedded Views: If the earner embedded the badge in another webpage, this counts how frequently it was clicked on and viewed.
  • Total Shares: The total number of times the earner has shared the badge to any of the options.
  • LinkedIn Newsfeed Shares: The number of times the earner attempted to share the badge to the newsfeed.
  • LinkedIn Profile Shares: The number of times the earner attempted to share the badge to the profile.
  • Twitter Shares: The number of times the earner attempted to share the badge to Twitter.
  • Facebook Shares: The number of times the earner attempted to share the badge to Facebook.
  • Facebook Messenger Shares: The number of times the earner attempted to share the badge via the mobile Messenger app.
  • Email Shares: The number of times the earner attempted to email the badge from within the platform.
  • WhatsApp Shares: The number of times the earner attempted to share the badge via the mobile WhatsApp app.
  • Copy URL Shares: The number of times the earner copied the URL from within the share modal. This could be used for multiple purposes.
  • Embed Shares: The number of times the earner copied the embed code from within the share modal. 
  • Weibo Shares: If enabled, the number of times the earner shared to Weibo from within the share modal. Note that this option is only available to earners in select countries.
  • Download Shares: The number of times the earner downloaded the badge image from within the share modal. 
  • Print Shares: If enabled, the number of times the earner printed a certificate from the share modal.
  • Xing Shares: The number of times the earner attempted to share to Xing. This is a social service that only displays for earners in Germany, Spain and France.
  • Wallet Shares: The number of earners who have used the wallet sharing function with their iPhone.
  • SEEK Shares: Only in Australia and New Zealand, the number of times the earner shared to SEEK from the share modal.
  • Publish to Blockchain: The number of times the earner published to the blockchain.
  • OBI Verifications: The number of times anyone clicked on the “Verify” button on the badge page.
  • Blockchain Verifications: The number of times anyone clicked on the “Verify” button on the badge page of one that was published to the blockchain. 
  • Clicks: The number of clicks on external links in the badge template. This is summative and includes the following clicks.
  • Earn this Badge Clicks: The number of clicks on that button.
  • Recommendations Clicks: The number of clicks on any of the recommendations on that badge.
  • Learn More Clicks: The number of clicks on that hyperlink.
  • Earning Criteria Clicks: The number of times any hyperlink within criteria was clicked.
  • Badge Claim URL: Only available for pending badges, a unique URL that would allow an earner to accept a badge. This is the same URL embedded in their notification email and is unique to that earner. Important - do not click this link unless you are the earner.

** Note: Location is not populated for pending badges. For others, Credly references a library to reflect the ISO-3166 standard to determine region and sub-region.
