When you update the badge image on a template, it will change for every badge that's already been issued from that template. Badges that were already shared will not automatically update the visual, so the best way to ensure that the new images are out in the wild is to encourage earners to reshare their badges (it's great for marketing, too)!
To communicate the badge changes to your earners, here is text you might consider emailing them:
Our digital credentials are getting a new look! We will be updating our digital badges and your credential may be updated as a part of this rebrand.
Things to Know:
- If you haven't already done so, please use the badge notification email or create an account on Credly's platform to accept and share your badge.
- Your badge empowers you to:
- Easily share your credentials with your professional network on LinkedIn, other social channels, and email. Your badge provides context and verification of your skills and achievements - all uniquely linked to you. When someone views your badge on LinkedIn, they’ll be able to learn more about your skills and verify its authenticity.
- Sharing is Caring:
- Linkedin Newsfeed: Go ahead and share your updated credential on your Newsfeed for your whole network to see!
- Linkedin Profile: Adding your credential to your Profile makes your accomplishment a permanent part of your online resume. Your achievement will populate within the License & Credential section of your profile. The badge image doesn't display in the Accomplishments section of the profile as Linkedin displays the issuing org's logo there instead. You can click the "See certificate" button to verify badge details on Credly and view the updated badge image.
Recommend that they share their badge! Don't forget that our recommendations feature could be a vehicle for reminding earners to share right away.
