About Group Tags
- Group tags are an optional field included when issuing that can help you segment your analytics. For example, you can segment cohort analytics by work unit, affiliated organizations, or project.
- You may use Group Tags for individual or organization (B2B) badges issued one at a time, in bulk, or via API.
- Group Tags are not public; the earner will not see the Tag added to their badge. Tags are visible only in the analytics reports, either in the detailed analytics export or when pulling analytics by API.
Think of group tags as a one to many feature. One group shares a common tag. Typically, you would add only use one tag to each earner's badge. However, since the tag is a string of characters, if you need to, you can include semi-colons to list multiple groups. You will need to split them up manually when you export the analytics.
Individual Issuance
- If issuing one badge at a time, you will find the Group Tag field in the “Badge Options” section when issuing.
- Type the Group Tag into the text box.
- If you are adding that tag for the first time, you will see the option to add that tag to save it for future use.
