Overview:
Customizing email notifications for badge earners allows organizations to personalize the communication sent during initial badge notifications and reminders. This feature can be accessed through the Email Options in your account settings.
Accessing Email Options:
- Navigate to Email Options: Go to your account and select "Email Options" under the Account settings to begin customizing your emails.
- Customization Fields: You can customize the following fields:
- Subject: Personalize the email subject line. (60 characters max)
- Header: Customize the email header to match your organization’s tone. (60 characters max)
- Body Copy: Edit the main content of the email. (240 characters max. This comes before or after the call to action.)
- Footer: Add any additional information or disclaimers at the end of the email.

- Formatting Guide: Use the provided formatting guide to add dynamic elements to your email, such as emojis or personalized content.
Previewing Customizations:
- Before saving, preview the email in-platform to see how it looks in both HTML and Plaintext formats.
Applying Customizations:
- Once you save the customized email template, it will be applied to all badges issued from your organization. If needed, you can delete customizations to revert to the default email copy.

- Q: Does customizing emails impact acceptance rates?
- A: No, customizing the standard emails does not statistically impact click/open rates or acceptance rates.

For Existing Custom Email Users:
- Q: Do existing custom email users need to recreate their emails?
- A: No, organizations using the default email template will have access to Email Options and can edit their custom emails as needed.

For Custom Email Design Template Users:
- Q: What about customers using a custom email design template?
- A: Those using a custom design will not have access to Email Options. To access this feature, they must delete existing customizations and use the standard template.

Specifying Badge Templates or Collections:
- Q: Can I specify which badge templates use the custom email design?
- A: Not at this time. Custom email designs apply across the entire organization but future updates may include collection-specific customization.
